Each year spring brings a slew of gaming sales that will leave your wallet on life-support in a heartbeat. To make the torturous act easier, we've highlighted some of the best deals and on-sale games from Steam, Xbox Live and other deals.
Steam

First off we have Hotline Miami. We've already posted about this game but it belongs on this list because it's a necessary addition to any gamer's collection. It's on sale for $4.99 (50% off), but we recommend purchasing the soundtrack with it, bringing the total to just $10.00.
Next up is FTL: Faster Than Light. FTL is a Kickstarter success where you are the commander of your very own spaceship. It's normally $10.00, but it's on sale now for $4.99 (50% off).
For gamers who want to scare themselves stupid, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is right up your alley. It's first person horror at its finest. Reduced to just $4.99 from $14.99 (75% off), this one is an absolute steal!
Super Meat Boy started on Xbox, but its premier version belongs to the PC. Grab this game that's normally priced at $14.99 for a meager $5.09 (66% off).
Taking the cake for most expensive Indie title on the list is Kentucky Route Zero. This game is a spooky point-and-click adventure that will try its best to break you mentally. It's being released episodically, much like Telltale's smash hit The Walking Dead. Pick this game up for a modest $18.74 (25% off).
From the creators of Super Meat Boy, dungeon crawler The Binding of Isaac is on sale for less than a bottle of Coke. Coming in at $1.24 (75% off), you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. Oh wait, here's a better deal. You can get all of its DLC for an extra $0.98.
These are just a few of the amazing deals Steam is offering right now, you can find the sale by clicking the link at the top, or for individual games you can click their names.
Xbox Live

Following the online sale bandwagon, Xbox Live is docking the price on full games and plenty of DLC to go with them. The most notable deal is one game that got reduced so low, it's free.
Telltale's award-winning zombie series, The Walking Dead, has it's first episode free with the following four episodes priced at 200 Microsoft Points as opposed to their regular 400 point price. Based on the critic and fan reviews, downloading the first episode for this series is a must.
Unlike the Steam sale, comparing prices from other outlets for full games is essential. Assassin's Creed III is marked down to $39.99 on the Xbox Live sale, but you can get the physical copy from GameStop and Amazon for only $29.99 - no sale, just the regular price. Spider-Man 3 also faces the same problem.
Despite those hiccups, the eight other games on-sale, including Hitman: Absolution, L.A. Noire and FIFA Soccer 13, are the best listed price you'll find for a digital copy of these games.
Another aspect of the sale that should not be overlooked is the sale on DLC. All DLC for games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Resident Evil 6 is at least 50% off, with the lowest priced DLC at 80 Microsoft Points for Dead Rising 2 Skill Packs.
