Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Is (Hopefully) Real

Via: NeoGaf
Get ready to see the year 2007. In honor of April Fools Day, Ubisoft has launched a teaser site for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the long rumored standalone expansion to last year's smash hit. On the site, a breif overview of the "film's" plot has been provided.

"The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on."

It's being played off as a movie that is written and directed by Alexis Graveyard. A teaser trailer, shown  below, is also shown on the page.

If you look closely at the last frame of the trailer, you can see what appears to be a screen shot from whatever Ubisoft is teasing here.

Rumors of Blood Dragon started popping up early this year when prototype box art for the game and a listing on the Brazilian ratings board showed up. More recently, achievements for the title were uncovered. Just yesterday, what is thought to be the real box art was uncovered by a user on NeoGaf.

Far Cry 3 hasn't seen much post release content in the form of true expansions to the game, but if Blood Dragon is real, it seems like it was definitely worth waiting for.

Side Note: If you want to have some fun on the teaser site, try entering the Konami code on your computer's keyboard. (Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A)
