Microsoft Announces Headset Adapter for Xbox One

Albert Penello, Xbox One lead planner, confirmed on Twitter that Microsoft is planning to release headset adapter that will allow current headsets to work with the Xbox One, IGN reported.

Penello also tweeted that the adapter will be sold as an accessory. However, current wireless headsets will not work with the system.

Instead of the 2.5mm jack the Xbox 360 controller uses, the new Xbox One controller will feature a unique port.

Earlier this week, Microsoft opened up pre-orders for their new headsets priced at $24.99. Unlike the Xbox 360, the new headset will not be included with a console purchase.
