That's right, it won't be long before you're once again reunited with everyone's favorite Tikiman. In a press release, Double Eleven Ltd. confirmed that PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD will be released in the US on July 30th for the price of $14.99. Players in Europe will be able to purchase the game one day later, for £9.99 / €12.99. The release date and price for the Japanese version will be announced soon.
PixelJunk Monsters was released for PS3 in 2008, garnering an 8.5 and an Editor's Choice award from IGN's Ryan Clements. An expansion pack titled PixelJunk Monsters Encore was also released in 2008, and in 2009 both the original game and its expansion were packaged together for release on the PSP. The PSP version was titled PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, and it garnered the highest scores of them all. IGN's Greg Miller gave it a score of 9.0 along with another Editor's Choice award.
Needless to say, this is a promising Vita title.
