"Curiosity" Project Comes to an End

After six months of chipping away at cubelets, the 22cans social project, led by Peter Molyneux, has come to an end. Curiosity - what's inside the cube, an iOS and Android app, was a social experiment set up by Molyneux and his team at 22cans to see if the world could unite under the simple question of "what's inside the cube?" On May 27, one person reached the center.

On Twitter, Molyneux reported that there was a record number of users on Curiosity just before the final layer was chipped away. The final few taps went to 18-year-old Bryan Henderson of Edinburgh, Scotland.

"People are going to hate me for this, but I only registered for the game earlier this morning, about an hour before I won the thing," Henderson told Wire.

Upon winning, Henderson opted to share the winner's video with the rest of the world that revealed his prize. According to the video, Henderson will play god in 22cans newest game and social project, Godus. He'll be able to pick the rules of the game and set the morals, Molyneux stated in the video. In addition, Henderson will be given royalties for every time money is spent on Godus.

Kickstarted on Dec. 21, 2012, Godus puts players in the role of a god, now with Henderson god of them all. According to the Kickstarter page, Godus, a recreation of Molyneux's game Populous, aims to recreate the god game genre by introducing worldwide multiplayer and cross-platform play among other features.
