Publish Your Dream PlayStation Game For Free

It used to be that you had to pay a hefty fee of $99.00 USD to get the game you toiled away on published in the PlayStation Mobile Store. Not anymore, starting yesterday, until the end of the summer, you'll be able to get not only the PlayStation Mobile SDK for free, but the licensing fee will also be waved.

On a post in the NA and EU PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Mobile content acquisition senior manager Sarah Thomson talked about why Sony is waving the fee. Se said, "We’re always looking to support new developer talent, so we’ve decided to waive the $99 publisher license fee for PlayStation Mobile, which means you can bring your games to PlayStation Vita or any PlayStation-Certified device free of cost."

Now, the only thing stopping you from getting rich off your ideas is that Sony still has to approve your game.  PlayStation Mobile is an initiative from Sony to get PlayStation games running on a multitude of devices, so your content will be spread across both the PlayStation Vita and select Android devices.
