Velocity Ultra, FuturLab's high-definition remake of last year's stellar PlayStation Mini, Velocity is now available on the PlayStation Store for just $7.49.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, FuturLab's Managing Director, James Marsden gave a little insight as to what players can expect from the remake, "Velocity Ultra features online leaderboards and Trophies (including a Platinum!), native res artwork, and flawless 60FPS action. It’s a piece of perfectly formed interactive art that we’re extremely proud to have installed on our PS Vitas. Velocity Ultra also features the same kick-ass soundtrack by Joris de Man (and myself, yay!)."
The game is touting an 88% Metacritic average score (as of the time this post was written), it seems that the makeover is being received extremely well. The guys over at FuturLab worked extremely hard "scouring the internet for comments and reviews, and addressed all of the major criticisms."
Our review is coming soon, but it's safe to say that with the incredible scores the game was awarded as a humble PlayStation Mini, you can't go wrong picking it up in it's beefed-up form.
