Exclusive Details on Guacamelee! DLC Plans

Today, at 1:00pm EST Drinkbox Studios will be hosting a livestream in which they just might talk about DLC plans for Guacamelee!. Interestingly enough, Drinkbox tweeted a picture on May 1, showing Juan and Tostada in new costumes and the word "SOON" shown below them.

For a taste of what they might talk about today, let's take a look back at a recent interview with Graham Smith, COO of Drinkbox Studios. I asked him some questions about the upcoming Guacamelee! DLC, and while he couldn't tell me any specifics about the content itself, he did have some interesting things to say about how much extra content players will be receiving.

What he said to me was, "I can tell you that were probably going to do two different DLC's. Part of the Pub Fund agreement with Sony was for us to do some DLC, so there's probably going to be two separate DLC packs. We're working on it right now."

Despite the fact that he couldn't elaborate too much on what's coming, it's good to know that the game will get some post-release support. Whatever the content ends up being, I'm pretty excited for it. Drinkbox brought something really incredible to the table with Guacamelee!, so we can safely assume they'll keep this trend going with the upcoming DLC.
